The Puget Sound LiDAR Consortium has been collecting LiDAR data since 2000. The consortium established an inter-agency contract used by numerous entities to collect LiDAR data for their projects. As part of the contract, all data collected through the PSLC adheres to a set of technical specifications design for best result in the
Pacific Northwest. The consortium also makes available data acquired by other agencies under their own contract and specifications.
